Personal training; what to expect:

Before your first session, we will spend some time discussing your responses to the form and get to know each other as I talk you through the plan for the next couple of sessions as we begin your warm up.

After the short but thorough warm up, we will move on to training specific to your goals and programme - this could be free weight, machine, bodyweight, or any other training modality depending on your goals and preferences.

After our time together, I want you to be the champion of your own fitness. So, throughout the sessions, a large emphasis will be placed on me teaching you, not only instructing you. We will go through some basic (and not so basic) anatomy, biomechanics, the best ways to train, nutrition, and the science behind fitness (in as much depth as you want)!

We will go through a number of different exercises. Throughout this you will be receiving motivation to perform at your best, feedback on your form and any required help to perfect it.

Depending on your experience level, we might then introduce you to certain exercises for future use to programme in extra sessions for you to complete in your own time.

Your individualised programme will determine what we do after that, but throughout the session, a big focus will be on teaching you the science behind training, and the practical ways to put the science into practice.

Although we will not do stretching in every session, to maximise our use of time, I will give you guidance on what I recommend you do after session, including, static stretches.
